I looked at high quality bit sets but I'm not a carpenter and would never make up the cost of those sets for the amount I will use a set like this. I was building my own entertainment center and just needed screwdriver bits and the countersink bit for the most part. So it's not the best quality you can get but to have a wide variety of bits for small jobs around the house you can't beat the price.
I should emphasize you get what you pay for. But for the price you can't do too much worse. This is an okay buy for the price. The quality is not terrible B&D could do much better.
Great kit of all sizes and types of attachment for your drill. Nicely organized in a strong case.
You do get duplicates, but given that screwdriver bits this inexpensive will wear over time, or get lost in the midst of a job, and you'll be thankful you have the duplicates. The only drawback is the absolutely feral case, that has broken two small drill bits trying to pry them out, and makes it really miserable if you need different sizes for a single job. I've had this set for several years now, picked up on a trip to America, and I've found it so useful for both my American products I brought over, and the Australian products I've purchased here. It's also great for around the house DIY stuff. The frustrating case makes this a 3 star, but the set itself is just fine.
Irwin, Milwaukee, Dewalt, are you listening. I've had numerous bits snap off or shatter doing relatively light work. that have become very common, even in the home. Overall, good set to have around and worth the money. I bought it on a whim since it had so many sizes and kinds of bits and accessories I figured it would come in handy and save me a few trips to the store later on.
That said, I'd be willing to pay a pretty health ransom for a higher quality set with the same diversity. The down side is that the quality deserves a one-star rating. It has paid for itself in both those regards. I have owned this set for several years. When I'm going into a DIY project and don't know what I'll need this is a good set to through in "just in case." Also, it has most of the odd-ball items (torx, spline, square, etc).
This set is certainly not for any serious job, but no surprises there.
